Should you elect to return your vehicle at lease-end, it will undergo a final inspection. You may be charged if there is damage exceeding normal wear and use.
To help you avoid surprises, Toyota Financial Services offers a complimentary pre-inspection service allowing our customers to know the condition of their vehicle BEFORE lease-end.1
To schedule your inspection.
Using Toyota Financial Services’ Wear and Use Guidelines, highly-trained inspectors conduct a detailed assessment of your vehicle’s condition. The findings of that assessment are then compiled into an itemized condition report available for download from toyotafinancial.com.
Inspections can occur at your home, office, local Toyota dealership or any other preferred location and take approximately 45 minutes to complete.
Whether this is your first or fifth lease, knowing the condition of your vehicle before lease-end allows you to make well-informed decisions and gives you time to make any desired repairs.
What to Expect
1 Available only to Toyota Financial Services lease customers who reside within the continental United States.
> Scheduling an Appointment
Approximately two months prior to lease-end, our independent vehicle inspection company, DataScan, will contact you to schedule a pre-inspection appointment.
You may also contact DataScan directly at
(855) 40-MY-TFS or visit DSFS.com to schedule
your pre-inspection appointment online.
We recommend scheduling the pre-inspection to take place 15-60 days prior to your scheduled lease-end date.
> At the Pre-Inspection Appointment
You will be met by the DataScan inspector at your scheduled appointment time and location.
To ensure the evaluation of your vehicle is as accurate as possible, you should bring the following items with you to your appointment:
• Tool kit and spare tire*
• All sets of keys (masters/remotes/valet)*
• Service records
• Owner’s Manuals
• Any original equipment on your vehicle at lease
inception (radio, headrests, 3rd row seat, tonneau/cargo cover, etc.)
At the end of your inspection, you will receive a card containing instructions for how to access your vehicle’s condition report online once it is available.
* If applicable
> Vehicle Condition Report
Within two business days of the inspection, your vehicle’s condition report will be available online. You can view this report by logging into your account at toyotafinancial.com.
Your condition report contains an itemized assessment of any estimated normal or excess wear and use found on your vehicle. While the occasional scratch or scuff is to be expected, you may be charged for damages exceeding normal wear and use. We recommend reviewing the condition report with your local Toyota dealer as they can often help with cost-effective repairs.
