A courtesy pre-inspection is a no-cost inspection performed by a participating Toyota dealer – typically your originating dealer – that helps you to know in advance if there are any dings, scratches, or other wear and tear items that may fall under the category of excessive wear and use (EWU). The inspection report will outline any damage or wear items found, note your overall mileage, and provide an estimate of any EWU charges that you may owe at the end of your lease.

If your pre-inspection does find wear and use items and you wish to avoid EWU charges at the end of your lease, you have until the day you return your vehicle to get them repaired.

Please note that we are not currently able to offer courtesy pre-inspections in Hawaii, or for leases originating in New Hampshire or Wisconsin.
